Ava Gabrielle Huffstickler, born on September 4, 2006, in Gaston County, left us far too soon on May 23, 2026, in the very place she called home. Though her years with us were brief, the light she brought into the world was vast and unforgettable.
From the moment she entered this life, Ava was a shining presence. She loved music and dancing with a passion that radiated from her very being. Those who were fortunate enough to know Ava remembered her for a radiant smile that could brighten the darkest day, a fearless spirit that faced challenges with courage, and an unwavering loyalty that defined her relationships with those she cherished most. Her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit are gifts she leaves behind—impressions that will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Ava’s family was the foundation of her world. She is lovingly survived by her father, Jeff Huffstickler, her mother, Lisa Parlier, and her life partner, Dustin Welch. Together with her daughter, Lanie Welch, Ava’s legacy continues through generations. Her sisters are Brittney Harrison (Jeremy), Hollie Jones (Chris), and Hope Harrison (Brian). She is also survived by her brothers, Kaleb Cline and Kayden Cobb, whose lives she touched deeply. Those mentioned will carry forward the memory of Ava’s vibrant spirit. Her grandparents, Harold and Christine Jackson, along with many nieces, extended family members, and friends, will hold her close in their hearts.
Ava was raised by her grandmother, Karen Phillips, whose gentle hands guided her until her passing, marking the end of a precious chapter in Ava’s life.
The family will announce the date of services at a later time, as they take a moment to grieve and celebrate Ava’s remarkable life in their own quiet way.
Ava Gabrielle Huffstickler’s journey here may have been brief, but her impact is lasting and profound. Her light, love, and laughter remain a beacon for all who carry her memory forward. May we all find comfort in remembering the joy she gave us and hold tightly to the beautiful spirit that will forever inspire.
