Ernestine Wallace

     Ernestine Wallace, age 62, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

     Ernestine was born Sunday, November 4, 1962, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John Matthew Wallace and Hazel Jean Logan Wallace. Ernestine went to McDowell High School, where she graduated in 1982. She got her child development certificate at Isothermal Community College in 1984 and worked for a daycare the Little Red School. She worked at Cone Mills and Diamon Back as a sewer for many years. She was known for her loving ways, and bubbly personality. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and aunt. Ernestine loved to dance and listen to music. She enjoyed art and working puzzles. She was a sweet lady; hard worker and will be missed by all that knew her.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Harvey Harris, Jamekia Ledbetter, and Tracy Dewberry; a sister, Patricia Wallace; three nieces, Denisha Hill, Monet Miller, and Niesha Logan; a nephew, Devonte Logan; ten grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

     There will be a funeral serviced held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Rebirth Fellowship Church with Bishop Eddie J. Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the funeral service at the church. Pallbearers are, Harvey Harris, Brian Robinson, Devonte Logan, Zahmarian Young, Howard Fullard, Kenneth Woods and Stanley Williams.
