Johnny Elvis McEntyre

     Johnny Elvis McEntyre, age 46, of Bostic passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

     Johnny was born Tuesday, May 6, 1980, in Rutherford County to J.B. McEntyre and Rose Marie Laughter McEntyre. He loved his family dearly. Johnny enjoyed fishing, camping, anything to do with the outdoors. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

     Johnny was proceeded in death by his child Ethan McEntyre, and a brother Shane McEntyre.

     Along with his parents, J.B. and Marie those left to cherish his loving memory include three children, Nicole Champion and husband Tyler, of Gilkey, Cody McEntyre, and wife, MaKayla of Shingle Hollow, Madeline Carroll of Rutherfordton: a sister, Tammy Oxendale and a brother, Jason McEntyre and wife Ashley all of Rutherfordton; two grandchildren, Ally Marie McEntyre and Cody-Jude Champion.

     A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th, at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. With Rev. Chad Sisk and Bishop Jack Crain officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the church.
