Matthew Grigg

Matthew Marcus Grigg, age 53, of Shelby, NC passed away Saturday March 4, 2023.

Matthew was born Friday, March 7, 1969, in Cleveland County, to the late Patrick Grigg and Shirley Maxine Mull Grigg. Matthew loved dirt track racing. He was an avid fisher and hunter.  Matthew had a big heart, he was always laughing and he never met a stranger. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Matthew was preceded in death by a brother Eric Grigg.

Those left to cherish fond memories are his wife of fifteen years Venisha McCraw; sister, Charlotte Norman (Chris); stepsister, Patti Bridges; sister-in-law, Penny Grigg and a stepmother Ann Grigg.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at the Duncan’s Creek Church with Reverend Max Burgin officiating.
